Columbia University Science Honors Program ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

What was the answer to that storm front question with thunderstorms in the science section

The answer to the storm front one was I, because thunderstorms occur in cold fronts, which was being overtaken by the warm front, I believe. I may have this wrong though.
Lol, I was the one who had to tell the proctors that the answer E in number 4 was incorrect.
I know I got 14 right. The only one I got wrong was the statues problem, because I did 540/36 and got 45 like an idiot. The only problem that was kind of difficult was the last one. You had to sum alternating series for that.

@hjklhjklhjkl2008‌ For the storm front problem I got three. I dont think the answer was 1. Rather I think it was either two or three. Also in the last few problems in the Science Section what did you say seperated the seeds from one another. I picked seperating with microscope but that was prob wrong so what did you get (was it the ether).

It should have been separating with the ether because the result was chemically separated, which cannot be done by physical means. Also, in the second question after it, it said that the solution was separated by ether.

After taking the test, do they tell us our score on the test?

Hey Guys,

I took it on Aril 26th. I am freshman. What are my chances of getting in the program?
60/75 Science
48/50 Math
7/15 Challenge

Your chances are meh as I’ve heard that you’re in as long as you get more than 10 on the challenge section.

Just 17 more days til they announce results of who got in and who didn’t. I’m keepin my fingers crossed for this.

Just 8 more days til they announce results of who got in and who didn’t. I’m keepin my fingers crossed for this.

If I get in, I’ll be incredibly happy, but if I don’t, I get more hours of sleep. Trying to stay optimistic because I really doubt I got in at this point. /:

Just 5 more days til they announce results of who got in and who didn’t. I’m keepin my fingers crossed for this.

@sunsh0wers STAY OPTIMISTIC!!!

@sunsh0wers Thanks for the compliment. You are a big ball of sunshine (get it- your forum name)

What time will the results be available?

@Birdlover Sometime tomorrow. Did you get the email? To access results you have to log onto the same website which you used to take the SHP.

@Birdlover - I’m assuming a little after midnight, because that’s when they sent the email.
