<p>Hey guys, do you know when we should receive our list of courses? I haven’t got mine yet…</p>
<p>Yeah, I started to get worried about not receiving a course list, so I checked the Columbia SHP website. On its announcements page, it stated that “Course descriptions and course selection forms will be sent
to all members of the SHP at the beginning of September.” Considering that SHP starts on the second week of September, they are really cutting it close.</p>
<p>How seriously is attendance taken at SHP? I was accepted but I am nervous that I may exceed the 2 permitted absences by 1 or 2 due to school and extra curricular obligations.</p>
<p>you have 4 absences per semester. I’m already missing 3 because of standardized tests and I’ll probably miss another one because of a track meet. As long as you dont go over the 4 absences i’m sure you’ll be fine</p>

<p>GUYS! SHP SCHEDULE AND COURSE LIST ARE NOW OUT! We have received emails instructing us to enroll in in courses no longer than September 8th. See you all there.</p>

<p>I heard that it can help, but I don’t know- it might help alot, or be no more relevant than doing a summer program at the college you hope to attend.</p>
<p>The university holds a info session for SHP students. They say it does help, but is in no way a guarantee. Its more that you know the school very well since you’ve taken classes there and can write about it</p>
