@keytone not at all, I knew no physics, maybe just a few open vs closed circuit problens
What’s earth science like - like the general topics? I haven’t taken that since like 7th grade
Does anyone know how much physics and geology is on the entrance exam? I am taking honors physics now and only know about geology from a brief discussion about it in ap bio during evolution section. Also, what level of math is in the hard section? I’m a Junior in ap calc ab, will this suffice? And will i need to brush up on some precalc stuff (conics, limits, etc.)?.
also, are we given any formula sheets (I assume not, but jw)?
Anyone who took the april test how was it? Tips or specific subjects u guys can inform us about?
Tomorrow is the day guys! Good Luck!
Hi everybody,
I just had one question: How much chemistry was there on the test and about what? I never took chem before so I was just wondering.
Good day everyone,
I am assigned to take the test at the Mudd building, but I have no idea how to get there from the 116th gate. Help is appreciated, thank you.
There is a map in the downloadable forms section. How much Physics and Chem is there though?
Lol, I am good at amc10, sat math, bio, ok at geology, but not good at physics or chem.
@Carbon6 Hey, I’m in Mudd, too…just check out the train schedules/map, maybe I’ll see you there
My bio is definitely ok (AP with lots of preparation for the AP Exam), my chem and physics is rusty…and I fear math Well, it’ll be nice to see the campus if anything :-/
You too! Thanks and good luck to everyone! @CanisMajor
Yes! I think I got 49 on SAT math, 12 on Challenge, and some bad score on science. I hope this makes it. I may have gotten a couple more wrong on sat math.
I’m currently a freshman, i got around 41/50 on SAT math, 3/4 of the science, and around 7 or 8 of the challenging math. I was an idiot and guessed on one of them so I got 6/7 or 7/8 right… how badly will I be penalized???
I don’t know. I am a freshman too, but that doesn’t seem bad at all.
@Oransuiodh Hey, don’t panic You’re only a freshman, even if you get rejected this year the next two yrs will likely be better (plus you know the format)
On easy math, I think I did fine…but I might’ve (probably) had some careless mistakes so 46/50 (better to think I did worse I guess)
Science: ugh…50/75 probably…the physics and some of the chem got to me :(…wishing there was more bio
Challenge math: I think a 12-13/15 from the answers I compared right after the test…
I just hope stupid errors in math/science doesn’t screw me over (which they probably will)
What did you guys get for the last challenge math question?
2.5
Yes! I got that too. I also got -1 for the first one and 4sqrt2 for the one with law of sines. Does that sound right?
Yeah that should be right. What did you guys get for number 14? The one with n and probability of perfect squares.
