2010. Course descriptions and course selection forms will be mailed
to the homes of all SHP students on September 7, 2010. "

I’m so excited for this course hahaha

is this anyone’s second or third year? how’s is it so far?

No mail today…hopefully tomorrow I guess.
I don’t know anyone in this now but my dad did it in high school and he says it was great (but that was awhile ago - lol).

they said the mail was shipped out on the 7th.. so hopefully it’ll arrive today
by the way from which parts of the country are you guys from? just wondering
I’m from north Jersey, specifically bergen county. Anyone else from that area?

got the letter

Went last year. No homework at all. It was great.

hey meowchee, what state do you live in? I’m from NJ but still haven’t gotten the letter..

and to college2012mp, which classes did you take and how informative were they?

I live in NJ and haven’t gotten the letter yet either… :/

I live in NYC

Got the letter!
Anyone think they know what they want to take?

relativity, quantum mechanics and string theory is my first choice!!! 2 otehr people from my school got in so we’re going to take it together. I’m so excited. Anyone taken any classes before? How were they?

First day of SHP in Quantum/Relativity lecture. Abolutely BRILLIANT!!! Fun, fast-paced and looks like we’re going to learn loads…plus our lecturer was hot…:D

I’m in neurobiology…it seems okay. I feel like maybe I should’ve been taking AP bio with this instead of chem.

So it wasn’t just me that noticed that he looked like Orlando Bloom haha?

I usually sit near the front of classes anyway, because I have trouble paying attention in the back, and I just went up to the front row. He was brilliant!

How does one go about studying for this test? I really want to get into the program, but I’m not going to be learning everything at school this year that’s going to be on the test. (I’m a rising sophomore at a non-specialized high school).

Like you’re a sophomore now? Or you will be next year?
I got in as a sophomore (for junior year).
I just reviewed bio from freshman year the night before & I knew most of chem because I was taking it. There were only like 5 earth science & 3ish physics questions.
In my opinion, you can’t really study for the math.

I’m a sophomore right now. I knew almost all of the math questions when I took the test last year, maybe 2/3 of the science questions, and very few of the challenge questions. I did not get in. Do I need to study extensively for physics/earth sci/chem? Also, how can I study for the challenge questions?
