Columbia University Science Honors Program ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

Accepted :)

Accepted… Congrats to all.

I believe this means that the theory of rejections first was true.. :stuck_out_tongue:

@ccLiuLiu… relax. Call the office at the number they provided and wait for a response. Try it again if it doesn’t work the first time. It will get sorted out soon.

I live out east in Syosset, Long Island. It hasn’t come yet…

damnnn tightt, where did the ones who got accepted live?

Checked my mail and nothing. Hoping it comes tomorrow. I called their office twice and the phone just keeps ringing with no one picking up or voice-mail.

Still nothing… Hope it comes tommorow

Do you guys know of any e-mail we could use to contact them?

Wow! I got accepted! Was admission less competitive this year? I heard there was normally a 15% acceptance rate, but on the letter is says that 400 were accepted out of 2000 (20%).

@ everyone who didn’t get a letter yet, what were your stats and how do you think you did on the test (mainly the challenge math). My friend who lives less then .5 miles from my house got his acceptance today and I think we have the same mailman… So I think if we didn’t get a letter by today we may be rejected? But yea what were your stats, for those who haven’t gotten a letter, if any of you felt confident on the test and felt that you did relatively well on challenge, please speak up. They may be sending out rejections first by grade and then acceptances by grade. Cause my friend is a rising sophomore.

Thanks

i felt like i did relatively well but friends from all grades got in so i dont think that they are sending it out by grade, so we prob got rejected

do the friends live in your area, also just considering this, why would we get rejections tomorrow and not sometime before in the week. Cause another friend of mine got rejected and she is a rising senior and she got her letter on wednesday and she lives like .75 miles from my house? So grade may still be pertinent no?

It seems to me as if all the rejections were given out first. I know of many friends that got their rejections on Wednesday. Then all of a sudden a lot of students here got their acceptances today. For now I’ll assume the mail hasn’t reached me yet. But as always I won’t know for sure until I actually get the letter ;)

well they live all over the place some near me and one who lives on the same st didnt respond yet so still waiting for him to answer me. I mean if what your saying is true and a friend of yours got a rejection letter already they could just be sending it out rejection letters in a time frame cause i dont see many people posting they got rejected, thus most of the rejection letters are coming later on. Seems like a lot have been accepted too so i dont know what to say, we may have a small chance who knows.

@MadBeast I’ve been following this thread for the past week and if you look at the previous pages you’ll see that many people posted here they got rejected on Wednesday.

Accepted! Congrats to everyone else too :D

i m kind of giving up hope now ;(( everyone seems so happy congrats guys..

Ok so I just called again. I got an automated message saying that the latest batch sent was sent yesterday and you should call the office if you don’t get anything by July 23rd.

^like previous comment

i feel like everyone here that hasn’t gotten a letter should be happy! the theory that the acceptances are sent after the rejections seem to be true, so the letters coming in today, tomorrow, and monday should all be acceptances!

^ lol hope so silveraurora
checked my mail today and didnt get anything -.- and someone else in my town got the acceptance letter.
pretty paranoid right now
