College: top 20 LAC
HS GPA: 3.7 ish
College GPA: 4.0
Major: Philosophy
Essays: 9/10, talked about why I wanted to transfer, what Columbia could do for me. Didn’t mention NYC too much.
Recs: Excellent. Both professors I knew super well.
ECs: A cappella, newspaper, tutor.
I’m a legacy for one parent, but I don’t think this helped me too much. Ironically, they transferred to Columbia after two years too. We don’t donate or anything.
