I wonder why my high school and college transcripts aren’t being showed as checked off… maybe I’ll resend them.
My high school transcript still has not checked off after the second attempt. I honestly have no idea what to do at this point.
@prepboybic I resent my high school and college transcripts. Since my college transcript was through email it updated within the hour, but my high school transcript was updated a day later saying they received it in January 17th (so I guess it finally processed my original high school transcript I’d sent). I’d say if you’re really worried about it, the best thing to do would be to directly contact the school just so you can be sure.
I have a question concerning the midterm report, I have heard that Columbia does not really care about the mid term report and was wondering how true this is? Just because I have a B- in one of my classes currently and do not want it to hurt my chances of getting in, and I am debating whether to send it or not.
@spat31 I think if you are transferring as a rising sophomore it matters more because they would only have one full semester of final grades from your college (unless you are on quarter system) so they want to see more of your current college grades. I still think it matters even if you are transferring as a rising junior, because you have a full year of final grades, but I think they just want to make sure that you have been keeping up your grades etc.
Still a rising first-year student, but just wondering: if I tried to transfer out from an Ivy to Columbia, would I have better chances than community college students? Or is it the other way around? Thank you.
Just wondering when Columbia sends out transfer acceptance information? The website says applications will be confirmed by May 15th - is that the very latest I will here back?
Does Columbia’s core curriculum make it harder to transfer as a junior? Does it depend on your major?
@Redkox I think it would be easier coming from another ivy as long as your reasoning for transferring is good. However, if money is an issue, then definitely just go to community college. I am sure you will get into Columbia as a transfer if you got into an ivy regular
Could someone chance me please

@ireadtoomuch I also have everything in the application checklist checked off green. Looks like they have finally processed all the documents.
Anyways good luck to everyone.
All my boxes are checked now; however, it says that I submitted my transcript today…
I wonder if they are even going to have time to consider our midterm reports.
Guys where do you see that checklist? I don’t think I’ve gotten the link to the portal, they only send me link for financial aid checklist

The link is at the bottom. Hope this helps!
Most schools send out decisions before that date, but yeah I would expect that to be the very last date.
Is anyone applying to SEAS?
When do y’all think Columbia actually starts to review apps and last year when did decisions come out

I checked collegeconfidential topics for 2017 and 2018 transfer and decisions were released on first Friday of May. I suppose we can expect it on May 3rd then!
@leanne07 Thanks! I was wondering as well.
