Hi guys, which of these 3 do you think is the best? Cost isn’t an issue, although the scholarship from Oakland is really nice.
I’m more concerned with going to the one that gives the best shot at getting into med-school than with the social scene/location/etc.
Thanks for the help!
PS: Does any of you know where I could get the percentage of people who get into at least 1 med school from Columbia and Oakland?
If the cost is similar, between Columbia and UCLA, I’d pick Columbia. NYC has lots to offer in terms of medical related ECs and it is accessible by subway. UCLA is a huge school, Its unlikely that you will get much attention from the profs.
However, OU is a medium sized public school, its med school is biased to Mich residents. If you are IS and got a big scholarship, on CC, we promote pre-med should go to a school that has least cost, highest probability to excel with GPA and the most fit. If you are in their honor college, you should visit and see if you can fit in the school. The money saved in UG can be spend on med school. Otherwise, Columbia is a great choice.
My nephew is educated in Ann Arbor and as an MS3, he is very happy in the OU med school.
