<p>What is Columbia’s policy on this? Are they very strict and is it a cause for getting rescinded? I am hoping to be able to change one of my electives (IB art or IB physics <– already taking biology) into a PE class. would that be possible?</p>
<p>My son has direct experience with this question. Last year, after being admitted ED, he decided at the end of first semester that he wanted to change his schedule. He emailed his regional Columbia admissions officer (who had emailed my son earlier with a note of congratulations) requesting consent for the change in schedule. The admissions officer quickly responded with written consent. Write your regional officer before you make the change!</p>
<p>Just wanted to echo this advice. I made a slight change to my schedule 2nd semester too (granted, they weren’t main academic courses), emailed the reigonal adcom and it was fine. You just want to make sure you email the adcom to ask, and if he/she says yes, make sure you save the email, just in case.</p>
