I now have the CB Blue Book and the RocketReview Revolution, which I was told are great books for SAT I prep. But how do I use them together?

I have 8 weeks of summer, and 8 Blue Book practice tests…do I learn from RocketReview and test from Blue Book?

I intend on testing every Saturday morning of the summer (eight times) to show my progression and get comfortable with the test, but I was told that I shouldn’t take this prep course approach to studying because I might develop bad habits with the test and keep doing them without realizing…what do you think?

BASICALLY:
How should I use the Blue Book and RocketReview together?
Is it bad to take the Blue Book practice tests weekly?

To # 2- No, not at all. Have you read Xiggi’s Prep Advice thread? It’s incredibly useful.

Not testing on every Saturday morning makes some sense. What I did was I took about 6 tests in timed sections (completing one test a week, but not in one day) and then did two tests with all the sections all together on Saturday.

I’m actually going to be a Junior so I’m probably taking it in January. But RocketReview is great so far…it has testimonials and advice for a good chunk of the book. Afterall, the SAT is all a mind game–not so much a test of knowledge.

I still don’t know how to use the 2 books in harmony though…
