Hello, does anyone have any information or comments about the combined BS/MS Occupational Therapy program at Spalding? Or any general information about the school? My daughter is looking for a combined/accelerated/dual program but wants to stay relatively close to home…trying to avoid east or west coasts. This program looks interesting but would love to hear from someone familiar with the school. Thanks!
I’m not personally familiar with this specific school or program, but in general combined degree, accelerated and/or direct entry program tend to be good values.
For any school, the most important thing to contact the school or OT department and ask questions.
Find out their licensure exam pass rates.
Ask them about placement for their graduates. Ask them about practicums or internships.
Ask if they can connect you with a current student in the combined program, and then speak with them directly.
Ask the student what they think are the pros and cons of the program and knowing what they do now,
would have made the same choice to attend?
Visit the school and wander through the departmental building.
