I combined two “work (paid)” activities into one section but I don’t know what to do for the hr/wk because one was an 8 week long internship 8 hrs a day 40 hr/wk and the other is tutoring 5 hr/wk for 30 weeks in a school year. How should i do the time?

The two activities serve two different purposes, represent different efforts and attributes. The point isn’t to lump “work” together as much as what each represents. I’d say, split them, each its own line. That way, you have room to describe the internship.
It seems better to just split them since its two different jobs with probably different details and descriptions.
