It’s too late this year but next year some of you applying for the best buy scholarship should also look into the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship

D won both with the same community service/leadership activities.

I think that the Comcast scholarship is only one nomination per school, which makes it much more difficult to actually apply for than Best Buy or Lowe’s. Also, I may be mistaken, but you must have Comcast service in the area. The others will let you apply even if there is no nearby store. BUT … it’s still worth looking into … just not as “easy” to get. :)

True, comcast is only one nomination per school and your area does need to be serviced by comcast, but a qualified student still has a better chance at winning it than some of the others I’ve seen posted. Best Buy offers 2 scholarships per store and Comcast is 1 per high school. We have 1 best buy and 3 high schools in our district. Two students won the Best Buy and and a student from each high school received it last year, so if you are in their service area, the odds aren’t too bad.
