I’m a major comeback kid…
I didn’t do well at an elite prep school in a metro area my sophomore year (I had an A- average my Frosh year). I had a total mental breakdown and was just…I hit rock bottom with self-esteem, etc. I transfered to my local public school (one of the top in our metro area, still) and had a massive turnaround. (We’re talking C average with a few F’s, to A’s and A+'s)
My GPA increased 1.4 in one year (to 3.9, weighted) and I moved from 337th to 53rd in a class of nearly 600, in a year.
I’m in NHS (president), GSA (president) and a diversity-promotion club.
I also organized a fundraiser for underprivileged children who I volunteer with frequently.
I’m also a National Merit Semifinalist.
34 on the ACT.
2260 on the SAT.
2 5’s on AP Tests.

More than anything, I want to go to Yale. If not there, then Dartmouth, Swarthmore or Williams.
Do I have a chance of getting in? (I get my GPA for this semester and my new rank for midyear report soon, I got all A’s again)
