I’m a political science major but also very interested in comedy. What major would help me become better at performing comedy? I know there is theater arts, but does that actually help comedians?

The best and most successful comedians usually have a different way of looking at things, in my opinion.
Maybe look into Philosophy?

hmmm i don’t know if any class can teach you to be funny. theater teaches you to act, but if you want to act funny, that’s a little different. try and observe comedians and watch a lot of them. (though i hear they’re actually not that funny when not performing).

I agree with Irvine, philosophy would be a good major for comedy.

-nice username TVOTR is awesome!

Yea wolflikeme is a tight song.

But since Comedians are always verbally expressing their thoughts, emotions, and observations of life I say the ideal major would be English/Creative Writing.
