Comedy Clubs at Harvard?

Hi, does anyone know anything about the different comedy clubs at harvard? And how do you get involved? Do you audition for improv groups? Or if I wanted to write or act for On Harvard Time, how do I go about getting involved?

On Thin Ice is an improv group, details at: [On Thin Ice: Harvard’s Oldest Improv Troupe!](http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/oti/)

Also, [Harvard College Stand-Up Comic Society (HCSUCS)](http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~hcsucs/)

In general, to get involved with one of these (or any other) student organization, go to the student activities fair + find the organization, chat a bit with the members, sign up for their email list, and go to the intro meeting. If you want to be really proactive, you could email the contact email from the group’s web site this summer, but that’s really not necessary.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for in Harvard’s hundreds of student organizations, do what Harvard students do in such instances: start your own organization.

Another improv group, the Immediate Gratification Players: [IGP | The Immediate Gratification Players](http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/igp/)

Even with these comedy clubs, Harvard students’ sense of humor is pretty awful.

Ok, thanks! i’ll get in touch with clubs once i get there…

And shalashaska, I don’t mind that. I saw some on harvard time videos, and I thought they were funny. so I guess I have this ‘awful’ sense of humour that you speak of.

Yeah that’s about as funny as it gets though. Most people hate the concept of humor.
