What is a nice and comfortable gpa and sat score to have when applying to Pitt. Also what gpa is at the borderline for getting in and what is the gpa that will give you the best chance of getting in. SAT scores as well. Thanks for information.

Pitthopeful – I think if you read the offical decision threads then that will give you a good idea of what it takes but then again there aren’t alot of rejections posted. I really think it is hard to say really because they take everything into consideration (EC’s, coursework, etc.) It just seems to me that a GPA of 3.5 or greater and SAT’s of 1200+ are a real good benchmark.

Good luck!

You can also look at the common data set linked here http://www.ir.pitt.edu/cds/documents/CDS2010-11PittsburghCampus.pdf

According to this document:

The mid 50% SAT scores of the freshman class were:

CR 570-680
M 600-690
W 560-660

The average GPA was 3.91 and 67% had GPA higher than 3.75. I don’t know if that’s weighted or not.
