Commended Cutoff for Merit

I just got my PSAT score back (in MA), 207(I know, it’s not as superb as others but it was a 42 pt improvement from sophomore year).
Anyways, I am a permanent resident in US, and I was wondering if I’d qualify for Merit since it said U.S. citizens.
And I’ve heard that commended cut off is usually ~201, is that true?
Thanks.

You definitely will not get merit regardless if you’re a US citizen, illegal alien, or a martian.

But you will get commended

^Sorry for the confusion, I meant commended… Didn’t even think about merit. lol

Based on historic data:

[National Merit Scholarships](http://www.collegeplanningsimplified.com/NationalMerit.html)

you’re likely to be commended
