Commended Scholar Question

Hi....My score was a 213 but the cutoff in my state for semi is 219. My school has said
nothing and I've not received any letter. Am I a commended scholar or not? Is it worth worrying about or not?

You are definitely commended. You don't receive anything from your school though. You should have gotten some notification in the mail though and collegeboard should have notified your school. But without a doubt you are commended, you just aren't a semifinalist. I'd ask your school about it first and if they don't know anything give collegeboard a call. It really isn't a big deal. It's something you can put on your resume but you can put it down even if you don't get anything in the mail because you definitely are commended. Honestly, it shouldn't make much of a difference in the application process though because colleges can see your SAT or ACT scores anyways... so why care about how well you did on a practice standardized test, you know?

Good luck with everything!
