Commerce Major and Economics Major: Practical or Too Much Overlap?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I’m a commerce student but I’m near getting a minor in economics. All I need is an extra 12 credits for a major. Given my course-load it’s completely doable without the need for summer school or an extra year. </p>

<p>But, I’m afraid employers will look at me thinking I’m too academic, and also they will think there’s too much overlap between the two majors. </p>

<p>I’m going to disagree that there is any situation in which getting a minor (i.e. doing more work) is going to hurt you. The biggest question is how much marginal benefit it will give you.</p>
