Common App Additional Writing Sections - What should I do?

<p>The 150 word min section about one of my ECs and the 2000 word max section about me.</p>

<p>I’m just unsure HOW I should go about writing these because I’m very unclear as to what they are looking for.</p>

<p>I was thinking I would write about how I got involved in my EC, the success I saw early on, and how I got my leadership position. I’m not completely sure what they are looking for though, so I don’t know how to go about writing this.</p>

<p>For the longer one about me, I was also unsure what they are looking for and how I should write it. I mean, would they want me to kind of verge on listing, like telling my achievements life-story style, or would they want me to focus on some key things and polish them into a nice story or what?</p>

<p>I have the same question, its kind of unclear throughout whether they’re looking for complete sentences and polished statements or just descriptive fragments. For example on the list of activities section, is a little fragment alright or do they expect complete sentences? For example, under a community service activity could you write something like- “volunteered at local library stocking shelves and moving heavy boxes,” or do they expect something more complete?</p>
