Common app essay cut down?

<p>Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon due date January 1st look over my essay before then? It’s 800 words and could probably stand to be a little shorter</p>

<p>There’s no maximum word limit on the personal statement on the common app. If cutting the essay down from 800 words would take away from the quality, don’t do it.</p>

<p>On common app personal statements, Quality is more important than Length (as long as you go over the minimum).</p>
