Hello!
After brainstorming for a long time I only came up with one decent topic and just started writing. Basically, my essay so far is about how when I was younger I used to build forts. I talk about the preparation, planning and how excited I was. My point is to show that I am an innovative and creative person, but do you think the topic is too weird? I try to incorporate funny dialogue. Also, I show how my parents just saw it as a fort, but to me, it was a huge project and I was so proud I completed it.
That doesn’t seem too weird. It’s a good idea as long as you use it to portray your personality and strengths. It would be good to go beyond just a story from when you where younger, though, and maybe connect to present day and how these personal qualities have impacted your life/shaped your goals.
I would say it’s a good idea, but relate it to who you’ve become today. Unless you’re still building forts in your living room out of your parent’s sofa cushions. Then, not so much
I think it’s the basis of a great story, but it won’t be a really great app essay unless you can also connect it to a mroe recent story or experience–it’s just too far back in your life to be totally relevant on its own. I think this should be an easy task, though–your fort story is the main course, so just add a complementary side dish from the last 2-4 years @wb1212
