Common App Essay - What Word Application to Use?

<p>Okay this might be kind of a weird question…I have Appleworks on my computer and that’s what I usually use…however I was wondering if I need to use say Word if I plan to upload my common app essay to the website. Need to know! Thanks!</p>

<p>You can use any application you wish to use.</p>

<p>Common App only accepts .doc files (Files made in Microsoft Word)</p>

<p>I used Apple’s iWork’s Pages. And saved the document in .doc format. Uploaded it and it worked perfectly. Hope this helps!</p>

<p>I would also advise you to click the ‘Preview’ link on commonapp.org (once you are logged in and in the ‘Application’ section) to see if the essay appears as you want it to in the Application.</p>
