Common App essay, which should I choose?

<p>I have two, possibly three choices to choose from to use as my common app essay. </p>

<p>Essay 1: the typical “I want to save the world” essay (I sent this one in and got admitted to George Mason Uni’s honors college) </p>

<p>Essay 2: a well written flash fiction with an underlying message of how society glamourizes violence and its effects on youth. </p>

<p>Essay 3 is not complete. It’s basically an essay about my mom. </p>

<p>Which should I choose from? The supplement essay for college 1 is funny/light hearted, and the 2 supplements for college 2 is serious and light-hearted. </p>

<p>Unless you’re going for english major or anything related to that, then definitely not essay 2.</p>

<p>None of these are really about you except the first one. I’d avoid the second unless the violence has impacted you directly. The 3rd… Make sure it’s not just an essay about your mom, but rather your MOM’S IMPACT on you. Still a typical essay, though. I’d go with the first or third, depending on which one conveys who you are the best. Good luck.</p>
