If I have something that’s a pretty significant volunteering activity, but is prior to high school, is that appropriate to put on an application?
Usually, no. Colleges are looking for involvement starting in 9th grade. If it’s something you began before high school and continued through high school, then you should go ahead and list the year you began because it shows how deeply committed you were.
