Common App Honors Placement

I have some questions about how to include my activities and honors on the common app.

These are the activities I definitely want to put on my app:
Piano, Soccer (club), Soccer (JV/Varsity), NJ Science League, Math Team, Shakespeare Club, and Homework Help Center (a volunteering organization that I’m the head of)

I did an eight week forty hour a week internship the summer before my junior year and was selected for NJ’s Governor’s School of Engineering and Technology, which I attended this summer (the summer before my senior year).

I want to put my internship as an activity and GSET as a statewide honor (if that makes sense).

Other activities I could include are National Honors Society and National Spanish Honors Society (I am the treasurer). I participated in Science Olympiad only in eleventh grade (I was an event leader) and placed in the fourth in the ChemLab event at States.

For honors, I want to put down placing in the top 150 in the National Chemistry Olympiad two years in a row, getting gold and silver keys at the regional level in the Northeast Writing Region at Large, being a national merit semifinalist (I got a 240, so I think this is pretty secure), and, as I mentioned earlier, going to GSET

I entered the work I did for my internship in my regional JSHS and Intel (my region is NJRSF) science fairs and received some awards (5th out of 100 in JSHS; and 1st in engineering, top 12 symposium finalists, excellence in ee and ce, and excellence in computing at the North Jersey Regional Science Fair).

Here’s the question: I am not sure where to put the science fair awards. Should i put them under the awards in my activities under my internship? Or should they be an honor? Also, between NHS, NSHS, and SciOly, which ones should i list as my other activites? I will only have done SciOly for two years, and technically NHS and NSHS for around half a year.

Any guidance on where to place these honors and activities would be greatly appreciated!!!

If you received an award, that should be an honor. NHS can be either way. In both area, sort out the importance of entries and go in the top to bottom order. You may combine similar items to save space. If you run out of space, you may put them under additional information. However, you may skip some activities that would have little impact if any (e.g. playing guitar for 1 year) when you are running out of space. The adcom has enough to read.
