Common App online word limit vs paper word limit

<p>I know that the paper common app doesn’t have a word limit for the personal essay as it says to attach a separate piece of paper. However, submitting the paper common app to multiple schools is tedious and using the online common app would be much less painstaking. Thus, what I would like to know is whether the online common app is a word limit on the essay. If it does, what is the word limit. Thanks for your help guys. This forum has been very helpful so far.</p>

<p>it doesnt. the application is exactly the same. all you do is electronically attach your essay.</p>
