What happens if you write an essay that doesn’t match the prompt or is considered to be too liberal of an interpretation?
Remember, the admissions officers reading your essays are human; they’ll understand but if you don’t answer the prompt, the essay is of no real value. There is a reason why they require a particular prompt: they want to see how you answer the specific question/prompt.
