So for one, the common app sucks and they lied when they said it was user friendly. I have a few questions and if someone can answer any of them it would be very helpful.
- For the SAT score section, if i did best for 3 sections in one test, do i have to put the other test date down as well?
- Because the there only 8 tests (AP/IB/SAT2) in the academic section, which tests have priority and which go in additional documents? And do i repeat tests in the additional section so it looks complete and not just scattered?
- Do hours include transport, for example if the travel time was an hour back and forth does that add into the hrs/week part of the activities section?
- People say make a resume in the additional documents of stuff that doesnt fit in activities and short descriptions that dont fit in the limited character boxes, but I’ve also heard colleges dont really look at this part. Should i try and squeeze as much as i can in the boxes and then elaborate in the additional documents, and once again is it wrong to repeat things for the sake of looking complete and not haphazard?

1.Not sure
2.Put them in order from highest scores to lowest scores and continue them onto the additional info section. Make sure you note what they are looking at when you make the heading for the additional doc page.
3.Hours are estimates, it really doesn’t matter as long as you aren’t blatantly fudging your numbers. I wouldn’t add an extra 2 hours for transport though.
4. Don’t repeat things in the additional doc section. If you want to elaborate more on a couple activities with a bullet point, that would be good.

Yes. All SAT scores need to be recorded.

Same as what drac313 said. AP is probably the most important.

However many hours you put barely matters. Just make sure the number isn’t so high that they’ll easily suspect you or isn’t so low that it shows no effort towards those activities

Don’t repeat things. It makes you look petty for trying to sugarcoat yourself.

Thank you very much for the help, two more things:
Is it necessary to add smaller things like shadowing or lectures attended to the add. section, or is that superfluous?
Will colleges stop reading or look negatively upon a common app essay that goes over 500 words?
