<p>I have applied to four colleges on the common app where the recommendations got mixed up. Richmond, Furman, Duke, and Emory are the colleges. One of my recommenders made the common app recommendation specific to Davidson, the first school I applied to through the common app. So, all four of those colleges will see her recommendation as it is specific to Davidson. To fix this, she mailed separate recommendations and we notified the colleges we would mail them. However, I am worried the colleges will take the “davidson” recommendation into account and it could have an effect on my admissions even though I mailed a separate letter. I am sure this recommender’s recommendation will be the strongest of all of my recommenders. Would those colleges change their decisions at all due to a mistaken letter of recommendation?</p>
