My day regularly consist of: grabbing back-packs, putting on seat-belts, memorizing directions, adjusting routes, meeting with parents, and oh yeahmaking sure that fifteen overly anxious students get to and from school safe and on time. Forget about hard work; its an astronomical amount of responsibility and pressure, and Ill admit that most times it is quite stressful. However, working as driver for elementary schools has blessed me with a list of unforgettable skills and experiences that have contributed profoundly towards my shift from adolescence to adulthood. IMR Transportation, the company I work for, had put me through weeks of meticulous training before I completed my first route. And even then, I still had time constraints, bridges, traffic, re-routing, and flat tires to worry about. But with each setback the road brought, I learned how to adapt, developing a versatility that proved I could be just as dependable, mature, and professional as some of their former veteran employees, including my dad.</p>
