Common app transfer essay for community college students.

Hello, I am a California community college student applying to Cornell, Vanderbilt, and a bunch of state schools across the country. I am mostly concerned about the 1st two. Anyway, I have the Cornell supplement down and since vandy doesnt have a supplement, I feel I can write sufficiently about how vandy's program fits my interests and goals in the general essay. But I dont really know how to approach the general essay for other schools, especially for the Cornell since a big part for wanting to go their is their ILR program which I will discuss in the supplement. The prompt, Please provide a statement (250 words minimum) that addresses your reasons for transferring and the objectives you hope to achieve, is really geared toward 4 year students. I feel its pretty obvious that I want to transfer because I need to go to a university. Since I cant really address my academic reason for transferring, since it will be in the supplement, should i really focus on, what I feel is, the more common aspects: community, amenities, diversity, location, etc ? So, if any successful community college transfer students could help out with this and how they did it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Hey I'm a CC student applying to Cornell as well. Yeah I'm not too sure how to attack the general essay for the reasons you stated. I still think that the main essay should show that a 4 year university gives you access to better academic facilities. Then the supplement should focus on a program like you said you were doing.
