<p>I’ve been working at my Common App writing prompt, and I selected "Discuss some issue of personal, local, national, or international concern and its importance to you. "</p>
<p>It says 250-500 words… well I’m sitting on about 750 right now. I plan on cutting it and getting closer to 500, but how much lenience do I have with word count? I doubt they’ll count every word, but the subject I chose needs it’s space to be addressed. It’s pretty strong right now, and I’d hate for it to lose some of it’s character, but I also don’t want to be penalized in any way that might hurt my chances. </p>
