<p>i’m surprised that NU joined the common app, because they hate being a back up to the ivies. they’re big on NU being the applicant’s first choice.</p>
<p>jellb, keep in mind that NU will still use ED and the “Why NU” may still very well show up in the Common App supplement. At the same time, I do see what you mean, and I think more Ivy-caliber students will apply there “just in case” in greater numbers than ever before.</p>

<p>If a school goes on the common app, they don’t get rid of their application, you just have that option… right? I know Duke accepts the common app but they have their own app too.</p>
