<p>Are we only supposed to do one essay?</p>
<p>Yeah, only one essay from the common app out of the six choices as well as the 150 word short response. And then you write any essays/short responses on supplements that ask for them.</p>
<p>Btw, I must say that the common app looks a lot cleaner than last year.</p>

<p>also for the teacher recomendations…they have to fill it out for each school? I thought they just write one and copy it.</p>
<p>No that’s right, the teacher only has to write one recommendation and then you just copy it for each school you’re using the common app for.</p>
<p>but they have to send it to the schools.</p>
<p>It depends on your high school’s policy. I know in my school they like everything to be sent in one mailing, so the teacher will either give their recommendations directly to the guidance department or they will give it to the student who then gives it to his/her GC. Regardless, the guidance department is the one in charge of all the paperwork and will do all the copies and such. But I don’t know exactly how teacher recs function in other school districts.</p>
