I have notice a growing amount of universities towards Common Application ( at least for the period) and question on why The University of Iowa have not adopted common application also. My main reason for questioning is that the university application process is already simple, and not as personalized ( like essay etc…) as other schools before adopting common application. Is it that common application would have a negative effect towards the university student enrollment and quality?

State schools don’t use the Common Application.
Iowa’s application takes like 10 minutes to complete, and they use a formula to determine admission.

The Common App wouldn’t provide any benefits. Essays, rec letters, etc. are not needed to be admitted in to UI.
