Commonapp questions and help

Sorry if these questions have been asked before, but I have a couple commonapp questions:

1) I’ve asked this on other threads and gotten conflicting responses. I did pretty well on my SAT I and SAT IIs, but I’m trying ACT in September. If I bomb the ACT, do I even have to self-report it on commonapp (because my SAT I and IIs fill my school’s requirement)?

2) I’m doing an internship at a U.S. Senator’s office this summer that is an important EC. Where do I report this on commonapp?

1)
No, there not going to find out you didn’t report it and their not going to penalize you for not reporting it

2) idk

2) report in your activities section.

Are you sure about this bigshot3008? I’d like to think you’re right, but I’ve heard people say you have to report it on commonapp but don’t have to send the scores…

it depends on the school, some require you send all scores. However, even those schools have specific requirements. For example, if you’re only using SAT, you do have to send each SAT and SAT subject test you took, but can exclude any ACTs.

Yeah ccuser18, I thought that was the policy for all schools…but my top choice school (UPenn) wants all SAT I, SAT II, and ACT scores! I’m really worried that if I bomb my ACT in September it will really hurt my chances :(

Well you should be able to roughly predict your ACT based on practices. Obviously there’s no point in taking it if after ten practice tests you’re a lot below your SATs.

yeah ccuser you’re right…it’s just the time thing on the ACT that sometimes gets me on practice tests, and sometimes doesn’t…so it’s tough to predict.
