Commonapp Roommate Essay

I know this question has been asked numerous times because I’ve read many of the threads, but I need help on what to right about for the roommate essay. What I’ve seen so far is to:

 1. Be genuine
 2. Be unique, make them remember you
 3. Don’t write about what you think the university wants to hear

The one really unique thing I can think of myself is that I am a huge fan of South Korean TV shows and music. For anyone who has had to write this essay, do you think this is a good topic?

I don’t think there is any problem with talking about Korean drama and music. Go for it!
Just an idea I had:
If you are not Korean, then I think you can also mention how your penchant for Korean media is an example of how you are open to other cultures.

Since I am not unique at all, I simply wrote mine on how me and my roommate will live symbiotically. pm me if you want it. I did it last year for an English assignment. We were asked to do the actual essay. So now I have it and don’t know if I even want to/should apply to Stanford
