I am a incoming senior high school student applying for MechE for the Fall 2017. I am a little concerned because I took all of the most rigorous/relevant to engineering courses in my Junior and Sophomore years (e.g. AP Physics C, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC).
Unfortunately, CommonApp only wants to see my schedule for 12th grade which is far less rigorous:
AP Statistics
AP Computer Science
AP US Govt.
AP Language
AP Microeconomics
AP Biology
Is there anyway to ensure that the admissions counselors are made aware that the only reason I’m taking these courses is because I have already exhausted the others?
I really hope this thread is a joke.
They will see your transcript with all of your prior courses.
First of all, your senior year transcript is still incredibly rigorous. I wouldn’t call that taking a break/easing up, but whatever floats your boat.
And besides, all colleges will see every course you have ever taken- it’s not like they think you’ve just had one year of high school.
Agreed with @usualhopeful and @VickiSoCal on this one–I’m gonna call troll.
Thanks-I guess I was just being paranoid. I thought the first thing they would see is my senior schedule and that they might not even both to consider to see my transcript after seeing the low rigor.
