D applied, received an acknowledgement of her app, but has not had any communication since. She requested an alum interview, but no reply. Is this unusual?

I would say contacting them about alum interview and not hearing back is very unusual.
How was the request made and was it requested with her admissions counselor at Scripps?

Here is the list of contacts:

Yes. She emailed her appropriate Admin Rep a little more than a month ago. She has not heard anything. Perhpaps she should email them again, but I don’t know if it is too late?

That definitely seems unusual. I suggest calling admissions directly (ASAP), letting them know that you’ve tried to get in touch but haven’t heard back yet, and asking how to best proceed. Emails can easily get lost or forgotten. I also recommend politely stressing that your daughter would still like to do the interview, if possible…

If your daughter does email again, I suggest that she send the message to her own admissions counselor, but also copy it to Dean of Admissions Patricia Goldsmith (unless Pat Goldsmith is her counselor, in which case, copy it to Director of Admissions Amy Abrams). It’s a busy time of year in the admissions office, so hopefully this will make it tougher for emails to slip between cracks.
Sorry you’re having trouble. I do hope it works out…good luck!
