I’m a prospective transfer to Cornell (humec). I have decent grades, a very unique backstory, and some good extra curricular activities. 2 weeks ago I went up and visited and spoke to the Senior Associate Director of admissions for humec. We talked for over an hour and he said that I seem like “exactly the type of student they want”. He gave me his business card and I have his email. I intern at a firm in Manhattan and just finished some really cool research that went out to investment banks/PE firms (GS, Blackstone, Jeffries, BMO, etc…). I was gonna go up to Cornell and visit a friend later this month and was wondering if I should make an appointment and show him my research or just email him. We got along really well and talked for a while about a lot of things, just don’t wanna annoy him. Should I stay in contact with people in admissions and tell them what I’m up to? Or should I just let my application speak for itself
