Communications at Harvard

Since communications is not a highly chosen major at Harvard, would it increase my chance of getting in?

I don’t think Harvard offers a communications major.

not at all.

Lol.
I’m pretty sure there isn’t a communications major.

Harvard aspirant, mistakenly thinks it offers a major, wonders if choosing it will increase his/her odds in the most competitive applicant pool.

Answer: cite communications as your prospective major? seal your fate in milliseconds.

^ exactly what I was thinking :P

what about astronomy and astrophysics?

The major is now just called astrophysics. I don’t think it would affect your chance of admission in any meaningful way.

how about ■■■■■■■■? If I apply to harvard as a ■■■■■■■■ major, do I get preference?

ps. does any ivy league offer communications?

I can’t see any of them (expect maybe UPenn) as offering communications.

how prestigious is miami university? businessweek ranked it 16th but i just dont hear anybody on these forums talking about miami… usc is ranked much lower, but many people put it ahead of miami, why?

because miami isn’t really that good of a school.

Where did you see this?

businessweek’s new rankings 2010… [Top Undergraduate Business Programs 2010 - BusinessWeek](<a href=“Bloomberg - Are you a robot?”>Bloomberg - Are you a robot?)

Oh, I guess I was looking at an old ranking where it was 35th.

what about upenn communications?
