FAU is now advertising it’s “amazing” rating by the state of florida, but you have to read how it earned this rating to see if the measures are helpful to you. My reading of this article is that FAU’s graduation rate, while improved, is still terrible and you’re better off if you look to transfer to UF Gainsville or New College of Floriday. Looking at the bottom of this article, you can see that FAU improved it’s grad rate by something like 6 or 8 points. That would bring it’s grad rate up to about 17+8=25%. So 75% of kids starting at FAU still do not graduate. The grad rates of the other two schools are close to 70% for 4 years. The other institutions will allow you to graduate for the same price of tuition, room and board. And they have much better teaching.
