Hi all, I’m a Malaysian student, and I just completed and got my IGCSE results. I did fairly well and some friends suggested to apply to a community college, like Foothill College in the U.S. and to transfer to a university after 2 years+. I’m wondering if this is a suitable and viable option for a student like me? I have also taken the IELTS Proficiency Test and I got a 7.5, fulfilling all the requirements to apply to the college. I’m a few weeks away from applying and I just want to get some more opinions on this path. Thanks for all the help!
Community colleges are a great place to start, to save some money and settle on a major before entering a much more expensive four-year university. It’s also a less stressful place to start, especially if you are working on English fluency while you study.
