Community college agreements etc

Does emory have agreements with community colleges like Cornell USC and other schools do? Its transfer rate seems somewhat high

Keep in mind that Cornell and USC both have very specific reasons for transfer agreements.

In most states, lower-achieving students tend to go to community college. I’m not saying this is always the case - sometimes amazing students go for financial reasons. However, in CA, you’ve got huuuge amounts of people going to community college. Transfer agreements are simply more important there.

Meanwhile, both Cornell’s Agriculture and Industrial-Labor Relations schools are funded by the state. It’s because they’re funded by SUNY that they have transfer agreements written up - and in the case of the Ag school, with other SUNYs specifically.
