Community College transfer Student interested in Investment banking

Hi, I’m currently entering my second semester at a community college in Missouri and am interested in Investment banking. Any ideas of transfer friendly schools that I should be looking at?

To get your foot in the door when it comes to investment banking you want to attend a target school where they recruit students. Try to aim for Wharton, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Duke, Michigan Ross, Northwestern, NYU stern,UChicago, Columbia, Haas Berkeley, University of Virginia. It really comes down to the prestige of the school in Investment banking, obviously to get into these schools are a mission on its own.

The tippy top schools mentioned above are not transfer friendly, if you try those schools more likely you will be disappointed.

Investment banking have many levels. You don’t have to be in the top tier investment banking to make a living doing billions dollar transactions. There are mid tier or lower tier investment bankers that can make a good living. You do need an education about finances and business. So a state flagship school should be your safety school. If you are lucky enough to get in one of the tippy schools, more power to you.
