<p>Hey guys. Those of you who are attending penn…could you please tell me what kind of community service is usually done by penn students? Is there alot of emphasis on community service? </p>

<p>A fairly new program at Penn is the Civic Scholars Program which “offers undergraduates remarkable opportunities to engage in extra-curricular, volunteer community service and social advocacy work.”

<p>a lot of tutoring, teaching, soup kitchen / homeless person services…</p>
<p>When you arrive on campus, please visit the Civic House. They have a wide range of opportunities.</p>
<p>Penn has a series of academically-based community service courses; you can get credit while doing community service.</p>

<p>There is a ton of community service, there is even a community service frat.</p>
