<p>How do you talk about your activity in community service without making it seem like you just do it to pad your ECs?</p>

<p>Talk about relationships you developed with individuals. Know their names. The “I gave soup to a homeless person and it changed my life” thing is stupid. Unless you’re now raising money for the local shelter and helping said person get off the street, then maybe you should write your essay about something else.</p>
