Commuters

What do commuting students do during the first few days before classes? I know move in day is September 1st and there is a special ceremony that day, but are commuters expected/required to attend anything from the 1st until the first day of classes? I have heard there are some “Fall Scarlet Knight Days” or something, but does that begin on the first few days of class or during the move in process? Someone had mentioned getting our football t-shirts during these days, but I also heard you can get them during the first few weeks of class.

they usually give out Football shirts at the Busch campus center during the first week in. You have to swipe your ru id so you don’t get 2 shirts.

To be honest, if you are commuting i think you should just come when classes start. Unless you know someone dorming and want to hang around campus, it might suck to be on campus and not knowing anyone yet.

I’m also a commuting student and I had the same question.
I guess we do nothing.
I think we’re supposed to attend the Scarlet Knight Days though because when I was inquiring about my schedule at frosh@rci.rtugers.edu, they told me that they would be talking about the add/drop period and stuff during those days.
I guess we’ll get more info as time draws closer.
